Don Verderame (Owner)

​

Don has been the owner of Boomerang Sound & Lighting Co. for the past 20 years.  During that time Boomerang Sound has provided services for nearly 500 weddings.  Over the past 10 years we have been averaging 25 - 35 weddings per year & have provided services for 150 events each of the last 7 years.

 

Don's interest in this profession began when he provided live sound in the 80's for local bands (Bandit, Xeno, MX, & live Sunday shows at Del Grosso Park) along with sound work for the Miss PA & NY Pageants.  He still continues to offer that service today. 

 

Don has 27 years of coaching basketball as well as 18 years of service as a P.I.A.A. basketball referee.  Don (June 2011) retired from his position as a Building Supervisor of Environmental Services for the Altoona Area School District.

 

(Don’s) Boomerang Sound & Lighting Co. & (Brian’s) Electrified Sound are full service Sound, Lighting & DJ companies working together!!!

Brian’s company is NEW to the area but he has worked for Don for the past 5 years participating in many events in & around the area prior to start up, including weddings, birthday parties, corporate events, & etc.

We have a wide variety of sound equipment, lighting & music,,, (10,000 song music video library along with the 50,000 karaoke songs) to fit your needs.  Currently we have music from the 40’s through today’s hits.  We will sit down with you & talk about what you want for your special event.  We want to make sure we cover all the details that you may not be thinking about or even know you need.

 

Thinking about power point presentations or your personal past home videos to be viewed by your guests? 

We have 2-50" TV's, 1-56” TV, 1-73” TV & 2-90" Projection Screens if you want to take your event to the next level!!  How about up lighting?  We have 40 + stationary lights & 13 moving gobo lights (seen at concerts) to help make your venue shine exactly how you want it.
